Collegiate Wrestling and Freestyle Wrestling are pretty similar but with a few differences
•For example you are allowed to lock around your opponents body without one of his arms in your lock
•Pushing your opponent out of the ring will award you one point
•Also if you throw someone like with a souplex then you automatically win the match
•If your on bottom and your opponent is on top of you then you can stall because if 15 seconds go by and your opponent cant get any points on you then the match is stopped and started back in neutral position
Scoring Rules and Terms
•Fall or Pin: Both shoulder blades held on mat, match ends
•Technical Fall: 10-point margin
•Injury Default: Athlete can not continue, match ends
•Decision: The athlete who scores the most points in a bout and wins

•1 extra point: High amplitude throw from mat or holding man on back for 5 seconds

Greco-Roman Wrestling
Basic Rules
- Cant touch your opponent below the waist- so most of the moves you can really do are throws.
- Plus you cant use your legs to trip, or execute other moves
- You still have 3 two minute periods but to win you have to win 2 of the 3 rounds
- Each period is broken up into 60 seconds for neutral position and two 30 second ground wrestling phases
- Who ever scores the most points in the first sixty seconds is the first to be on top for the first 30 second ground wrestling phase and the person with the least points gets the next 30 second phase to be on top
- If nobody scores in the first 60 seconds then a coin is flipped to see who is on top first
- Period is decided by who accumulated the most points during both standing and ground phases
- Takedown= 1-5 points: one for just taking him to his stomach or side on the mat, three for a takedown taking him to his stomach or side then to his back or for a throw, five for a throw that brought your opponents feet above his head
- Reversal= 1 point
- Exposure or when your opponents back faces the mat= 2-3 points
- Penalty= 1-2 points
- Out of bounds= 1 point

Knee Pick
Knee Pick
- Just like the ankle pick copy step 1 with left hand on opponents neck and so on
- This time instead of circling push your opponent backward so he steps back with his left foot
- Then stop pushing so he'll step back toward you with his left foot
- But before his foot touches the mat and is still in the air do the same thing as the ankle pick and push his head towards his left leg
- At the same time step towards his left leg with your lead foot and with your other hand grab your opponents left knee
- To make him fall to the mat keep driving into him holding his head to his left leg and holding his knee till he stumbles and falls

Ankle Pick
Ankle Pick
- If your lead foot is your right foot then put your left hand on the back of your opponents neck. Then have your right hand on his left arm
- Then circle to the left so your opponent is stepping toward you with his left foot
- Before his left foot lands on the mat stop circling and push his head toward his left foot
- At the same time step toward his left leg and grab the back of his ankle and drive him over
- If your lead foot is your left then obviously switch everything around

Fireman Carry
Fireman Carry
- Do a tie up just like with the Duck Under with your right hand on your opponents neck and left hand on his right arm or visa versa
- Also again you can touch head to head with your opponent but not ear to ear
- The most IMPORTANT piece to this move is your left hand grabbing his right arm or again visa versa depending on your preferred tie-up position
- Grasp his arm tightly and also pin his arm against your arm/shoulder so he cant pull it out
- To shoot you can step closer to him and then drop to your knee or right off the bat you can just drop to both knees which is what i recommend
- If your using your left hand to grab his right arm then when you shoot you will use your right hand to grab his right leg
- From here your head should be on the outside of your opponents right hip
- Then straighten your back to get his feet off the mat
- Pull down on your arm that is holding his arm towards the mat
- Then at the same time with step nine you will throw his legs/body over your head
- As he goes to his back pop your head out so you dont get stuck

Duck Under
Duck Under
- Get into a tie-up position. For example your right hand on your opponents neck and your left hand on his right arm or visa versa
- Also you guys can touch head to head, but dont do touch so your ear to ear, but instead the tops of eachothers heads are touching
- If you tie-up like the example in step 1 you will duch under your opponents right arm
- The next steps should be done very quickly and explosivly
- Pull up on your opponents right arm
- You will step with your left leg and go to your knee on your right leg
- At the same time pull forward on your opponents neck to get him to also step/move forward
- Also along with steps 5-7, duck your head just low enough to clear your opponents arm
- From here you can take your opponent to tha mat any way you like

Over Underhook Hip Toss
Over Underhook Hip Toss
- Get a underhook and a overhook. Or a underhook and instead of a overhook you can use your other arm and grab your opponents free amrs wrist
- If your underhook is with your right arm then you will step with your right foot in front of your opponents rights foot
- Also bend your knees so your hips are lower than his
- At this point your back shoulder be up against your opponents chest/stomach
- Now you can straighten your legs so your opponent is off the ground
- Lift up with your underhook and pull down your overhook towards the mat. Do the same thing if instead of an overhook your holding your opponents wrist
- After this your opponent will land on his back and you'll be on your side

Low Single Leg
Low Single Leg
- This move is like a high single leg from steps 1-3 except instead of just going down on your knee for your lead foot your going to go to your knees for both legs
- Also instead of grabing around his knee your going to grab around the lower part of his calf
- From here your on your knees holding his calf and he should still be standing
- So now if your holding your opponents right calf then work your way to the side of that leg while still holding on
- Then drive your right shoulder into his knee to drop your opponent to his knees
- When this happens you can leg go and do whatever you want since you'll be behind him

High Single Leg
High Single Leg
- If you lead with your right foot then you will shoot for your opponents legt leg and visa versa
- Once you clear his hands and you have an open shot then lower your stance and take a deep penetration step with your lead foot
- When you take that step your foot will be on the outside of your opponents leg- and just like the double leg you should be on your knee momentarily till you get a hold of his leg
- From there you grasp your hands together around your opponents knee
- Then as you lift his leg in the air and you come to a standing position put the side of your head into his ribs
- To finish you can do a few things. One thing is a sit back. To do this slide your grip from your opponents knee to hip upper thigh. Then sit down on your right hip while also driving your head into his stomach/chest backward. Or you can trip him forward. So once you have your opponents leg in the air use your right foot if thats your lead and trip him above his right knee. Also drive him forward at the same time

Double Leg
Double Leg
- Grab your opponents wrists and then throw them opposite directions so you have an open shot on your opponent without his hands in front of himself
- Lower your body- by bending your knees, not back
- Step between his legs with your lead foor and then go to your knee with this leg till your ready to finish the move
- Also your shoulders should be over your lead foot
- Brab his legs, one in each hand at either his knees or thighs
- If your lead foot is your right foor your head should go on the outside of your opponents right side and visa versa
- Since your ready to finish you can stand back up on your lead foot and pick up your opponent using your legs not back. Also drive with your head into his body to get him off his feet and now he's off the ground and you can take him back down to the mat
